We are excited to introduce you to our newest event — Rescue Me, which includes an Online Silent Auction and an Exclusive Live Webcast. Register today for both events!

The Live Webcast, scheduled for this Saturday, is going to be fantastic! To salute our supporters, sponsors, volunteers, and friends, we have created a very different kind of live entertainment show. This live webcast is a truly unique, online experience full of special appearances and incredible stories of animal rescues. It is truly a not-to-miss event, and can be viewed via your computer, tablet, or mobile phone. Guests include:

  • Chef Emeril Lagasse and his wife Alden, of AldenAlli wine, cooking live in their home kitchen
  • Brian Kelley of Florida Georgia Line and his wife Brittney, a fashion designer for their Tribe Kelley boutiques
  • Kenan Thompson, an actor and comedian, and the longest-tenured cast member in Saturday Night Live’s history
  • Eric Lindell, an American singer songwriter described by USA Today as “pumping soul into funk, blues an roots-rock”
  • Will, featured on Love and Vets, a Nat Geo WILD series on his vet practice in Atlanta
  • Wayne Pacelle, president of Animal Wellness Action and former CEO of The Humane Society of the United States
  • John O’Hurley, an actor, author, game show host, and TV personality known for his role as J. Peterman on the NBC sitcom Seinfeld and host of NBC’s National Dog Show
  • Billy Dawson, Nashville Industry Awards “Artist of the Year”
  • Cathy Bissell, founder of the Bissell Pet Foundation

  • And many more surprises

Simultaneously, you can peruse and participate in our online auction, donate to the cause, or simply enjoy the fun while socially connecting at a distance. When you register, you will also be sent a special link to enter the Online Live Webcast closer to its “showtime” on May 16th!

Proceeds from Rescue Me will benefit Alaqua Animal Refuge. The event was created to help Alaqua supplement the loss of two signature fundraisers this past spring which were canceled due to the need for social distancing and ensuring our patrons’ safety. These annual events were a devastating blow to our organization, as they provided a significant portion of critical funding to be able to meet the needs of animals in our care and keep the Refuge functional, including its day-to-day operations and provision of services and programs to continue our mission.

Our hope is that you experience a little fun and relaxation during this uncertain and stressful time while also helping to provide critical funding for the many animals who need us now more than ever.
